According to the plans, Gattuso's long-time assistant Gigio Riccio will join him on the coaching staff. The FIGC also aims to appoint several high-profile individuals to support the team. This includes the role of technical commissioner, which has been offered to former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli.
Prandelli, however, has declined the offer, following the decision of Claudio Ranieri to turn down the same role last week. The FIGC hopes to bring in other experienced players, including Italy legends Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, and potentially Fabio Cannavaro, to join Gattuso's coaching staff.
