Since joining Nottingham Forest from Huddersfield Town in 2022, Toffolo has been a vital part of the team. He has used his platform to support the club's mental health programme, Tricky to Talk, and has attended several sessions to share his own experiences and listen to others who have struggled with mental health issues.

Off the pitch, Toffolo has been involved in the club's community work, attending Soccer Schools visits to inspire young footballers. His dedication to the community was recognized when he was named the club's PFA Community Champion for the 2023/24 season.

During his time with the club, Toffolo made 57 appearances and scored a crucial goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in December 2023. His impressive goal-line clearance against Tottenham Hotspur in April helped the team secure a vital win in their pursuit of European football.
