Zecevic-John is considered one of the brightest prospects in Arsenal's academy. He has been inspired by recent graduates Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who are now playing for the first team. Zecevic-John admires their success and hopes to follow in their footsteps.

In the 2024/25 season, Zecevic-John impressed with 14 goals and assists in 22 games. He credits his opportunity with Arsenal to a chance meeting with Per Mertesacker, the current manager of the Arsenal Academy. Zecevic-John's mother and Mertesacker's kids met at school, and Mertesacker offered to guide Zecevic-John through the trial process.
