Two notable applicants are Robbie Fowler and Harry Kewell. Fowler has experience working in India, having previously served as the coach of East Bengal. Kewell, a former Liverpool Champions League winner, has also coached in Asia, most recently with Yokohama F Marinos.

Both Fowler and Kewell are among 170 applicants who have submitted their interest in the position.
