Premier League Teams Set Their Goals for the New Season - AsianBookie News Premier League Teams Set Their Goals for the New Season
Tuesday, August 12, 2025 - 5 days ago

The Premier League is back, and teams are gearing up for the new season. Before the start, each team sets its goals, aiming to achieve something by next May. Some teams will target the top prize, while others will focus on survival.

In the first part of this analysis, we will look at what would be a good season for every Premier League team.

Arsenal

Arsenal has consistently finished second in the Premier League over the past three seasons. The pressure is on manager Mikel Arteta to deliver a title, especially with the signings of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Martin Zubimendi.

Arsenal needs to win a trophy, ideally the Premier League or Champions League title. Arteta has been at the club for nearly seven years, and a win would be a great achievement. While a FA Cup win would also be a success, the club needs a major trophy.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa had a tough summer, struggling with finances and unable to make significant signings due to PSR constraints. Despite this, they have a strong squad and a talented manager in Unai Emery.

Villa will focus on a deep run in the Europa League or domestic cups. A European football spot and a top-eight finish would be considered a successful season.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth had a remarkable season last year, finishing with a record number of points and a highest-ever Premier League finish. However, their defense has been weakened with the loss of key players.

Coach Andoni Iraola is known for getting the best out of his players, and the club's scouting system is excellent. Another top-half finish and more victories over top teams would be a great achievement for Bournemouth.

Brentford

Brentford has lost several key players, including manager Thomas Frank and star players Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard. The team is now under the guidance of set-piece coach Keith Andrews.

Given the uncertainty surrounding the team, a successful season would be remaining in the Premier League. After years of solidifying their spot in the top division, they need to focus on stability.

Brighton

Brighton is known for its well-run club, with a talented young team and a great coach in Fabian Hurzeler. They have recruited well, signing players like Charalampos Kostoulas and Maxim De Cuyper.

Another top-eight finish and a possible European spot would be a great achievement for Brighton. They are a team to watch this season.

Burnley

Burnley has returned to the Premier League and has a lot of work to do to stay up. Manager Scott Parker has proven himself in the Championship, and the team has a strong defensive record.

Despite losing key defensive players, Burnley might be better prepared for the Premier League this time around. A successful season would be staying up, which would be a remarkable achievement.

Chelsea

Chelsea has been crowned world champions at the revamped Club World Cup and secured a top-four finish last season. They have a strong squad and a unique project under Enzo Maresca.

The next logical step for Chelsea is to compete in the Premier League and the Champions League. A successful season would be solidifying themselves as contenders and making a deep run in the Champions League.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace has had a difficult summer, struggling to make significant signings and losing key players. However, they have won the Community Shield and haven't lost any key players yet.

A successful season for Palace would be a mid-table finish and a deep run in the Conference League. They have a real shot at winning the competition.

Everton

Everton is moving to its new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and has a big season ahead. Manager David Moyes is looking to give the fans something to celebrate.

Despite Moyes' unhappiness with the transfer business, the team looks to be getting busy. A mid-table finish would be a strong season for Everton, and they might even have a shot at the top half of the table.

Fulham

Fulham is a rock-solid outfit under Marco Silva, consistently finishing in the middle of the pack. They have lost a few players but remain reliable.

A successful season for Fulham would be a mid-table finish, which would be a great achievement for the team and manager Marco Silva.
