Wharton said, "It was a tough game. We knew Nottingham Forest would be difficult to beat, especially after seeing them last season."
"In the first half, we played well, creating chances and playing out of our comfort zone. However, in the second half, we dropped off, and they had more possession. It's just a point in the end, but we'll take it."
Wharton also mentioned that some players might have been tired due to the third game in a week. He added, "We know where we could have improved, and we did it in the first half, so it's a disappointment from our side. We showed a strong work rate, staying in the game, and had a few chances – but there's plenty to look at."
Ismaila Sarr scored for Palace, and Wharton praised him, saying, "It always helps when you have a player in form."
"He's getting in the right positions, scoring goals, creating goals, and his work rate is impressive both on and off the ball. It's great to play with him, and if he can keep scoring, we'll be delighted."
