Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori scored the winning goal within the first 15 minutes, and many believed that Manchester United's goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, was fouled during the set-piece scramble.
Amorim was asked about his goalkeeper and the team's keeper pool during the post-match press conference. As the questioning continued, Amorim became increasingly frustrated with the tone of the questions.
When asked if he thought Bayindir should have acted differently during the goal, Amorim replied, "I'm saying that you choose to push a player or to get the ball in that moment. So he chooses to get the ball but he's getting pushed, so he cannot defend it himself. That is my feeling when I see the play."
Amorim was also questioned about starting Tom Heaton ahead of Bayindir, citing Heaton's experience in the Premier League. Amorim responded by asking, "But, he suffered a goal like this when?" and then referencing a specific game where Heaton conceded a similar goal without VAR.
Amorim was asked about the performance of his goalkeepers and whether he was happy with the three goalkeepers for the season. He replied, "I'm happy with the three goalkeepers. I think we prove today that we can win any game in the Premier League, especially against a great team like Arsenal and we were the better team."
