Tottenham are reportedly willing to pay around £60M for Eze, whose £68M release clause expired on Friday. However, Palace can now ask for a higher price for the player, who has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.
The chairmen of both clubs, Daniel Levy and Steve Parish, are in direct contact over the deal. According to reports, Tottenham are offering £55M plus £5M in add-ons to secure Eze's transfer. The player has already informed Palace of his desire to join Tottenham.
Eze is expected to play in Crystal Palace's next game, a UEFA Conference League match against Fredrikstad on Thursday. Manager Oliver Glasner has said that Eze will return to training on Monday and is expected to be back playing for the team soon.
Eze will be hoping to impress Tottenham manager Thomas Frank with a good performance, after scoring a disallowed free kick in Crystal Palace's first game against Chelsea.
